Carolina Chamoun
My name is Carolina Chamoun and I´m a 17 year old girl who lives in Stockholm, in a small town called Salem. I’m a 2nd grade health and care student at Tullinge Gymnasium. I want to help people around me and do my best to make them happy and feel safe and healthy and that’s why I chose the health and care program. When I’ve completed my 3 years at Tullinge gymnasium I will be an auxiliary nurse, but my future plan is to continue studying at College and train to be a midwife. This has been my dream for a long time. In my free time I like to hang out with my friends and family and do fun things. I also love to dance, sing and listen to music in my free time.
I have always dreamt of travelling and working abroad, and India is definitely first on the list. So now I finally get the chance to go there and see how it looks. It's a great opportunity to actually deepen one’s knowledge of both one’s own and another culture, and get an insight into how different living conditions and expectations can affect people's opportunities and quality of life. Such knowledge is also one of the most important tools to develop and to create a better future.
I feel strongly that I will grow tremendously as a person in doing this and that I will have lot of completely unforgettable experiences to take home with me. I will get to see a different culture and be part of human encounters. I will learn something about how health care can work abroad. I will hopefully get a larger and more burning heart for the people who do not have it as good as us in Sweden.
